A Girl Can’t Have Enough…

Bags.

It’s a lot harder now with having 2 littles to carrying around a nice little purse, but now that we’re back in California with a car I decided it’s time to not just be a mom, but also feel nice with what we’re able to accessorize with and still be functional.

I wanted a diaper bag with a lot of compartments and leather to really feel like this is a nice bag. I also wanted one that could give you the option of being a backpack when necessary.

It took awhile, but I found my dream bag at a designer brand called Lily Jade.

Seriously, here’s why:

• Leather is so soft!

• just enough compartments inside and outside the bag

• it gets better – 12 compartment tote inside the bag can be easily taken out to leave with the “grandparents” while you go out with your non-mom items!  Fear not, there are still compartments and zippers to store your goodies when the tote is removed.

• big enough to put your laptop in as well so you don’t have to use it just as a diaper bag (or maybe your little too)

• did I mention there is a removable tote inside so if you’re the type that really wants to use your Longchamp’s bag with not enough compartments or need to make a quick bigger bag change, you are able to put a little “Lily Jade” in there for a quick transfer of your little’s necessities. How well thought out is that?
• And of course, you can wear as a backpack to be hands free. Yay!

I’ve had my Lily Jade bag for a bit now and it’s been perfect for all types of weather and adventures. Oh yes, in California we can get to the snow driving in 1.5 hours.

Road Trip to Cornwall.

This is the last trip before “nesting” for baby girl #2. We opted for a road trip with our London buddies and had a blast – minus the cloudy/windy weather (really, July, come on!).

We left London and didn’t get into Cornwall until early evening since we just had to make a pit stop in Bristol for Costco – warehouse (heaven) of bulk goodies.

What stood out about Cornwall: 

📷: Love their honor system of paying for things along the road (just leave the money in a box and take what you want).

📷: Fish n’ chips everywhere. Our first Cornwall meal – super fresh fish of course. Why am I surprised?

Love the stone houses throughout the city (we stayed in an adorable cottage that really did a stellar job with upping the look n’feel of their IKEA furniture).

📷: Abigail couldn’t wait to see the moon and stars with this sunroof.

Anyhow, we promised the kids it would be about the beach on Saturday (rain or shine) so they got it. We did a stop at the Minack outdoor theatre (next to Porthcurno beach) prior and wow that is cool! Imagine watching a show outdoors perched on a cliff and hearing the Atlantic ocean water. Amazing and the stone seating had these cool engravings as well.

Misty and windy at Porthcurno beach – clearly overlooked once she saw the abundant sand. I would recommend this beach (lifeguard on duty) – nice sand, plenty of shells to pick, not too crazy waves, and water is gorgeous.

Saint Michael’s Mount – A must go!  If you go after lunch, you can probably walk across the path but looks like before noon  you would need to take a quick boat ride over (£2 adults, £1 child).

📷:: It’s crazy how the cobblestone walkway (approx. 500 metres) dries up quickly and isn’t slippery.

And that wraps up what we did in Cornwall. Definitely would say we missed many sights and probably staying at least 3 nights would be ideal for both driving or training to Cornwall.
